This blog was created to aid in the ongoing support of families diagnosed with Down Syndrome. While my journey and education about Down Syndrome is new, I am learning more and more every day and I believe that this knowledge is power and it leads to understanding. I am motivated to discuss this topic for many reasons. I am a mental health counselor and want to be able to provide any family that brings the topic of mental ability and/or disability into sessions as well as provide resources to further their own education, awareness and involvement. I also am privileged to know families who are living with Down Syndrome today and are thriving. I want to support them and continue to personally develop my own understanding of the joys and challenges Down Syndrome brings.

Look around and leave comments. Please keep them respectful and if you find other resources, let me know as I will continue to update as I go along. Together we can support each other.

All the best,
